In any case, cool mod - just a little disappointed that the whole nonsense about defending the tyranny of owning other humans being called a "right." To the point that they were better off than the Natives in death camps - yeah so? That's again a sick ideology that attempts to justify injustice by pulling out an anecdote of someone who "had it worse' - Anyway - the mod looks cool - I"m playing the South and it's mid-1863, no one has attacked me yet and I should I go after technology? What about building military ports, should I not build those? The care taken with the generals, units, and politic figures is impressive - nice job - don't get upset about the "Rights" comments but it's true that the South was fighting to maintain a form of tyranny incompatible with that point in history - and they did maintain it more or less well into the later half of the last century and are currently trying to reassert it. So yeah, the Civil war was not about "rights" it was about "licenses for tyranny" and some of the text in the original mod is awful - the Slaves were not better off than serfs in Russia - and comparisons likes that usually let me know that the author knows nothing about the history of slavery or the history of the Russian Empire. Claiming that this was a war for "rights" is a perversion of history - that like most awful things in the US these days - became popular during the Reagan administration after the Dixiecrats took over the GOP in the wake of Civil Rights. It should be said that slavery and apartheid are not rights.
